Dr Radosław (Radek) Kawa
Founder & Equine Veterinary SurgeonRadek is the founder of Equimotion and an equine veterinary surgeon with a strong clinical focus on equine sports medicine and lameness diagnostics. He works primarily with competition horses, aiming to identify the underlying causes of performance or soundness issues and develop practical treatment plans that allow horses to return to work safely and efficiently.
Radek began his career in a large equine clinic in Poland before moving to Germany, where he further developed his experience working with sport horses. He later spent several years working as an equine vet in Surrey, focusing on sports medicine and the management of performance horses.
In 2024 he achieved the RCVS Advanced Veterinary Practitioner status (CertAVP). Radek is committed to continuous professional development and regularly attends national and international equine congresses and courses to stay up to date with advances in equine medicine.
His clinical interests include lameness investigation, performance horse management, musculoskeletal medicine, gastroscopy and preventative healthcare for competition horses. Radek works closely with riders, trainers and other equine professionals to provide coordinated, effective and pragmatic care for equine athletes.
